"Fern Manor" was built in 1890. The tale of this house is that it was built for a never married daughter of the Wallace family. The Wallaces also lived right next door in the original building. Wallicia, the original house, was the family homestead. One of the members of the family was Dr. William S. Wallace, brother-in-law and doctor to Abraham Lincoln.
